Recently, the San Bernardino Municipal Water Department entered into a long-term lease with the San Bernardino Valley Concert Association (SBVCCA) for the beautiful historic adobe building on 11th and E Streets. The building has seen many tenants over the last 80 years since it was built in 1935. It has been the office of the Water Department, a fire station, a post office, a Social Security office, headquarters of the Army Air Corps during the building of the Air Depot, a cultural center for the City Department of Parks and Recreation and, most recently, headquarters for the Camp Fire Girls. The building is currently under renovation with the help of many volunteers. It will once again be a Cultural and Arts Center which will provide programs in the visual, performing and literary arts. If you have participated in activities and programs in that building in the past, and would be willing to share your experiences, please contact J. Hortsmann at 909-798-4570 or by e-mail at SBVCCA@gmail.com, and give a brief description of what you did there. A videographer will be brought out to record your experience as a historical documentary.
