This week, Governor Jerry Brown announced that Mr. Richard DeLaRosa has been reappointed to the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training. Mr. DeLaRosa has served on the commission since 2014. “I want to congratulate Mr. Richard DeLaRosa for his unselfish public service. His strong track record as a public servant in our community and state speaks for itself,” said Assemblymember Brown. “The announcement of his reappointment brings a great sense of pride to my district and I wish him the best as he serves another term on the commission.” Mr. DeLaRosa retired from the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation in 2014 after serving 27 years as a correctional officer at Patton State Hospital, the California Rehabilitation Center and Folsom State Prison. He currently serves as Mayor of Colton and proudly sits on the Colton Public Financing Authority, Inland Valley Development Authority, San Bernardino International Airport Authority, and the League of California Cities, to name a few. Upon confirmation by the Senate, Mr. DeLaRosa will serve a three year term.
