It's been a long, hard road back to the major leagues for Valley View High School alumnus Ryan Madson (VVHS '98).
After missing three whole seasons due to painful injury and extensive rehab, the standout pitcher made a comeback this year with the Kansas City Royals, the American League defending champs.
Madson and the Royals started their AL Division Series last night against the Houston Astros.
