The Riverside Community Center for Spiritual Living (RCCSL) is presenting “Improv for Happiness,” an entertaining and educational audience participation show, on Wednesday, April 1 at 7 p.m. in the RCCSL Community Chapel. Admission is free. The goal of this improvisational theater program is to promote nonviolent communication by inviting audience members to help create real-life stories through group story making, enactments and simulations. The participatory program encourages the audience to get involved by creating spontaneous scenes, scenarios and songs. RCCSL is planning to present intensive improvisation performance workshops this summer. Al Razavi, Artistic Director of the RCCSL Improv Players said; “The Riverside Community Center for Spiritual Living will be presenting Improvisation Performance Workshops designed to help both actors and non-actors learn to improve performance skills and to prepare for public improv shows. It is all about connecting.” The RCCSL Improv Players are Jeanne Kataoka, Rev. Jerry Hobby, Susie Ammons, Carla Fountain, Mike Kataoka, Victoria Bomberry and Tyler Steelman. Larry Hobby provides technical support.
