California Baptist University swim and dive programs have long been known for their success academically, as much as athletically. The Lancers women backed it up with the College Swimming Coaches Association of America's release of the 2015 Spring Scholar All-America Teams. CBU made the list of a record 406 Scholar All-America teams in the NCAA Division I-III, NAIA and NJCAA by achieving a grade point average of 3.00 or higher in the spring. CBU maintained a 3.46 GPA in the spring, which tied for the 14th-highest mark in Division II. It put a cap on an outstanding all-around season for the Lancers, who won their second-straight Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference title in dominant fashion and then moved up to an eighth-place finish in Division II, with the help of 14 All-American performances. Founded in 1922, the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) – the oldest organization of college coaches in America – is a professional organization of college swimming and diving coaches dedicated to serving and providing leadership for the advancement of the sport of swimming & diving at the collegiate level.
