RCOE Honors Schools as “Models of Excellence”

More than 400 educators, parents and community leaders were on hand recently as the Riverside County Office of Education honored Landmark Middle School and Valley View High School programs as “Models of Academic Excellence.” At ceremonies in Palm Springs, Landmark was recognized for its successful Accelerated English for English Learners program, funded by one of the district’s three federal i3 grants; and Valley View won praise for FINAO (Failure is Not an Option), which provides mentoring and peer support for students at risk of not completing their studies.
