“A Child’s Place” is offering working parents a place to bring their children after school. Headed by the Moreno Valley Parks and Community Services Department, “A Child’s Place” is an after-school program located at various elementary schools throughout the Moreno Valley Unified School District and the Val Verde School District. “A Child’s Place” is available to children in kindergarten through the age of 12. The program is offered from the time school lets out until 6 p.m. on a Monday through Friday basis. The program also boasts daily tutoring, arts and crafts, healthy snacks, and recreational activities for the children throughout the school year. Depending on family income and size, the program is either free or at a reduced rate. In order to be eligible, parents must be employed or be attending school.
