Citizens for Colton First completed their annual food basket distributions for the Christmas holiday. Twenty baskets were completed and given to four Colton schools, a local church and people known to be in need. The funds to fill these baskets were collected throughout the year from the group’s active members and visitors to their meetings. A game called “Happy bucks/Sad bucks” was used to elicit donations. A container is passed around the room and anyone can tell why they are happy or sad and then deposit a dollar or more for each comment, in the container. Donations to different schools were to allow the widest distribution of food baskets available.
