Loma Linda police arrested a designated armed and dangerous parolee at large Tuesday night, Aug. 11. Before midnight that night Deputy Tabor from the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Central Station (Loma Linda) came into contact with Timothy Hamilton, 26, of San Bernardino while Tabor conducted a vehicle check at Hulda Crooks park in Loma Linda for a violation of park hours, according to a release issued by the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department. Hamilton allegedly gave Tabor false information regarding his identity, according to police, before he fled from his vehicle and ran through the park toward a nearby residential neighborhood. Tabor caught Hamilton and took him into custody before Hamilton could exit the park, police said. After Tabor received Hamilton's true identity, a release stated, a records check revealed him to apparently be an armed and dangerous parolee at large. Sheriff's officials said Hamilton was booked into the Central Detention Center for the armed and dangerous parole warrant and for providing false identification to a peace officer.
