The 2015 Solar Cup, in which teams of high school students build and race solar-powered boats, isn’t until next spring. But work is already underway. Last year, students from Canyon Springs and Vista del Lago teamed up to win fourth place overall at the Cup among 40 teams. This year, it’s CSHS and Moreno Valley High. The team recently joined others at the initial boat-building event in Claremont. Here the team shows off the boat they hope will claim the Cup this year.
