On October 27, 2017, the Ronald McDonald Golf Committee held the 14th Annual Golf Tournament at the Morongo Golf Course at Tukwet Canyon in Beaumont, California. Penelope L. Sachs, Development Associate of Ronald McDonald House Charities, said, “The tournament was quite a success with the committee working hard to obtain over 160 golfers playing on both courses at the Club.” From the start of the tournament until the end, the players were treated as royalty, with special burritos and drinks to start the day and finishing with beef ribs, prime rib, and chicken at dinner to complete the day. Bill Collazo, a board member of the House, coordinated the golf tournament effort by both obtaining sponsors and golfers to attend the event. The Morongo Band of Mission Indians have been a strength of support of the charity and have helped the House by supporting the mission of the house in providing care, comfort and aid to families of the critically ill and injured children throughout the San Bernardino and Riverside counties.
Silver sponsors of the event were iHerb, Abbott Vascular, Teamsters Local 1932, McMestas Family McDonalds, The Webb Enterprises, Safelite, McDonalds Southern California Region. Also, there were many companies and supporters who participated in the event, as well as our outstanding volunteers and golf committee members. The 15th Annual Golf Tournament will be held at the Morongo Golf Course on October 26th, 2018. Good job for all those who made this event successful this year.
