On Saturday, June 7th, the Loma Linda Filipino SDA Church held a “life-changing” presentation called “Once Upon A Dream”.
Most will assume from the title that it’s derived from the famous song played in many Disney movies. However, it meant much more than that to the members of this church. It was primarily focused on the greatness of God, and somewhat to show their appreciation and love that they all share for Him. Throughout the play, there were performances ranging from young children, teenagers, and adults. Everyone seemed to be incorporated in this play and they were not kidding when they said it was a “dramatic” musical. Whether they were young or older, everyone did a good job.
Whether it was the actual performers or the people that were behind the decorations or costumes. The overall scenery gave a very “dramatic” atmosphere, on stage. The actors are what made it come alive.
As closing acts came to an end, everyone began to applaud as the performers were bowing.
Pastor Lambert Trinidad came out to give a brief speech about his appreciation for everyone that came out to watch this play, and he would “like to thank those who were a part of this program.” He also thanked everyone who was involved and behind the scenes throughout the preparation of the play.
He then introduced the closing presentation. It was four young girls, Kassidy Layon, Kelsey Olarte, Leah Aguilar, and Lynelle Bathan.
They were all dressed alike as they danced to a routine. The song they danced to was called “Who Am I” by The Cross. They wrapped up the presentation by having everyone stand up and share a closing prayer together. Sarah Trinidad went on stage to lead the prayer for everyone.
