Local artists looking to share their work are invited to submit artwork for display and sale at an annual arts festival hosted at Cal State San Bernardino.
Professional, up-and-coming and student artists from the Inland Empire are invited to submit their work for the upcoming Third Annual Arts & Music Festival, scheduled from 4 to 9 p.m. on Friday, May 15.
Hosted by CSUSB's College of Arts and Letters, activities will begin at the university's Robert and Frances Fullerton Museum of Art and will also take place in the Visual Arts building art studios on Camphor Walkway, on the north side of the John M. Pfau Library, and will continue through to the Lower Commons.
Original and fine artworks will be accepted, with a juried portion of the event including a panel of three jurors from local art communities who will review the submissions.
Acceptance of submissions is based on artistic merit and exhibition space.
"The festival is a tremendous opportunity for local talent to get their original and fine artwork in front of a wide audience," a release issued by the university states.
Last year, the growing event welcomed over 3,000 visitors.
In addition to the art displays of all mediums in the art walk, visitors can also enjoy food and live music by local and world-renowned musicians.
"There were so many great things happening in the arts at Cal State that we decided to combine our efforts to put on one great big festival," shared student leader Emmanuel Rodriguez, CEO of the Underground Music Society.
The deadline to submit artwork is Monday, April 13.
