Led by California School Boards Association (CSBA) President (and MVUSD School Board Clerk) Jesús M. Holguín, more than 200 CSBA members from districts large and small walked the halls of the state capitol last week, meeting with their Assembly members and state senators to advocate for public education.
CSBA President Holguín and CEO and Executive Director Vernon M. Billy are seen here personally delivering more than 800 letters and resolutions from California’s school board members urging the repeal of a reserve cap on school district savings to Gov. Jerry Brown. School Board Vice President CJ Johnson also represented MVUSD at the Legislative Action Day.
