A threatening message was discovered inside a Colton High School bathroom on the week of Friday, Oct. 8.
The threat was brought to the attention of Colton Police, who patrolled the school throughout the entire week.
Although officials confirmed that the message wasn't credible, Officer Ray Mendez explained that the issue was "still taken seriously."
As a precautionary measure, more patrolling was allegedly provided on campus and throughout the surrounding area.
Two full-time police officers are on campus and share time between schools.
No arrests have taken place, and the author of the message has not yet been found.
"It was not a specific message. It was very vague," said Officer Mendez.
Parents were notified after the message was discovered, and classes resumed in session.

There will be an increased police presence at Colton High School on Friday after a threatening message was found inside one of the campus' bathrooms, officials said.
Someone wrote on a wall that they were going to shoot up the school on Friday, according to the Colton Unified School District.
Parents were notified after the handwritten note was discovered a few days ago, the school district said. Classes will not be canceled on Friday.
Colton police say they have no evidence to suggest that this is a credible threat.
