A project to build a two mile bicycle and pedestrian path to connect the Juan Bautista de Anza National Historic Trail to the existing trail has been fast-tracked to be completed at least a year ahead of schedule.
Earlier this month the California Transportation Commission (CTC) approved the City’s request to expedite funding the $2.8 million project to Fiscal Years 2017/18 and 2019/20.
The Juan Bautista de Anza Trail stretches for 1,210 miles across 20 counties of Arizona and California.
The project will close the gap along the Juan Bautista de Anza Trail to connect the trail to Lake Perris State Park, Rancho Verde High school, and the City of Perris’ trail network.
