Arrowhead Country Club in San Bernardino was the setting as the city’s former mayor and Childhelp member Judith Valles installed the newly-elected board for the Inland Empire Auxiliary of Childhelp. The new board includes: President Jo Ann Von Wald, Vice President and Membership Annette Winn, Parliamentarian Addie Collins, Recording Secretary Angie Wheeler, Treasurer Peggy Brier, Chaplain Kathryn Lorei, Village Liaison Arlene Zoumbos and Fundraising Team Martha Naff and Jill Robbins. The women already are working on plans for a year of fundraising to benefit the 84 children residing at the Merv Griffin Childhelp Village in Beaumont. The group raises the money for the welcome extras the children need to make their lives as normal as possible. The children have all been removed by the court system from their homes due to neglect, abuse or abandonment. The auxiliary provides Christmas and birthday parties, Easter baskets, school clothes, sports equipment and field trips.
