As Thanksgiving approaches, I find myself reflecting on what makes our city so special. The answer is simple: it’s you, our residents! This holiday is a perfect reminder to slow down, appreciate the blessings around us, and celebrate the community we’ve built together.
I’m grateful for the families who make Moreno Valley feel like home. My wife Carina and our children remind me every day of the importance of love, support, and laughter. And when I look out across our city, I see that same sense of family reflected in every neighborhood, park, and gathering where residents come together to support one another.
Another big ‘thank you’ goes to our volunteers, local nonprofits, and community organizations. Your efforts create ripples of kindness that make a lasting difference, whether you’re helping neighbors in need, keeping our parks beautiful, or sharing a meal with someone who could use a little extra care. Moreno Valley thrives because of your generosity, dedication, and heart.
And of course, we couldn’t do it without our hardworking City staff. From behind-the-scenes planning to hands-on service, your dedication keeps our City moving, growing, and looking its best, day after day. I am grateful, thankful, and humbled by your efforts.
This Thanksgiving, I hope each of you finds time to enjoy good food, laughter, and the warmth of family and friends. Thank you for everything you do to make Moreno Valley such a welcoming, compassionate, and proud community.
Wishing you a joyful, safe, and memorable Thanksgiving!
