Ford Motor Company Fund teamed up with local nonprofits and Ford dealerships throughout the state to distribute over 4 million medical-grade face masks across California, including at Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Redlands-Riverside.
Members of the public were invited to pick up 20 disposable face masks. Local Ford dealerships, including Ken Grody Ford-Redlands, Fairview Ford and Raceway Ford, were also distributing masks.
“We appreciate Ford’s support of the safety of the kids we serve, their families, and the community,” said Club senior vice president Mark Davis.
Ford has produced hundreds of thousands of face shields for hospitals and first responders since March. The company’s Project Apollo is targeting production of 100 million medical-grade masks through 2021. The masks are being distributed through Ford Fund to nonprofit partners, state and local officials, schools, community groups and dealerships across the country.
