Hazel Sluder, who is very active with the First Congregational Church in San Bernardino recently celebrated 99 years.

Hazel Sluder celebrated her 99th birthday on March 29, 2016. Hazel was born in Avery County, North Carolina and raised on a farm in Virginia. She married Ferman Sluder and raised 3 daughters. Audrey Peterson from Vanderhoof, British Columbia, Canada; Gay Shenton-Turner from Beaumont, CA; and Joy Hoover from Singleton, Arkansas.
Hazel and Ferman and family moved to Tracy, California in 1954 and have remained in California since, living in different cities until 2007 when she moved to Beaumont, CA to live with John and Gay Turner.
Hazel has enjoyed being a part of the First Congregational Church in San Bernardino, and has many friends there.
