The Hollywood Christmas Parade is an annual parade which takes place on the Sunday after Thanksgiving in the Hollywood community of Los Angeles. The parade began in 1928 and this year the Rancho Verde Crimson Regiment became part of the longstanding tradition. Rancho Verde High School Band members, under the leadership of Band Director Honglac Hathuc and Assistant Band Director Celeste Malkin, joined the 3.5-mile parade route down Sunset Boulevard Sunday night. Friends and families cheered for the students alongside the parade route as they played “Sleigh Ride.” “This was Rancho Verde’s first nationally televised performance. This was the highlight of our year, and one of the best RVHS Band experiences by far,” said RVHS Band Director Hathuc.
