Daniel Ninan was awarded Fellowship in The Academy of Dentistry International during convocation ceremonies held at the Annual Meeting on Nov. 4.
Fellowship in the Academy is an honor bestowed upon dentists who have distinguished themselves in their profession and who were nominated for the award by an active Fellow of the Academy.
The Academy is an honorific organization founded to assist in providing continuing dental education to the dental profession in lesser-developed countries. In addition the Academy is involved in humanitarian projects around the world and through its Foundation provides grants and funds for education, patient care, professional improvement and other avenues which promote the advancement of the dental profession and human welfare.
The Academy inducted two Honorary Fellows and 23 new Fellows from the Brazil, Canada, Guatemala and the United States into its Honors Class at a Convocation Ceremony carried out during its meeting. Currently the Academy has members in 88 different countries around the world.
This year new Fellows have been inducted in convocations held in Tehran, Iran; Quezon, Philippines; Cologne, Germany; Brisbane, Australia; Santiago, Chile; China, Italy and Bangkok, Thailand.
The Academy of Dentistry International is an honor society for dentists dedicated to sharing knowledge through continuing education in order to elevate the standard of dental care, better serve the dental health needs and improve the quality of life throughout the world. By the support and sponsorship of special educational and service projects, the Academy directly contributes to the improvement of dental health and to the well being of people worldwide.
The Academy is celebrating its 41st year of serving mankind around the world.
Dr. Ninan graduated from Loma Linda University in 2009. Since then, he has maintained a practice at SAC Health System in San Bernardino since 2011. In addition to the Academy, Dr. Ninan is also a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, Tri-County Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry. Currently, he lives in Loma Linda. He has also participated in Give Kids A Smile (GKAS) and international dental mission trips to Nicaragua.
