Moreno Valley celebrates the progress of the city during its annual State of the City address.

Dear Moreno Valley Residents,  Last week, we celebrated Moreno Valley’s incredible progress during the annual State of the City address.  This year’s theme was “Legacy of Service,” and it refers to our shared legacy as a community. I spoke about all the great things we’ve done in the past year that have added to Moreno Valley’s robust legacy of service to its residents.  We’ve added more police officers and firefighters, opened exciting new businesses, and expanded educational opportunities. We created thousands of local jobs, beautified our parks, and put a dent in the homelessness crisis through our Homeless to Work program.  But perhaps most importantly, we’re moving forward with our $50 million Pavement Rehabilitation Program, which will fully repave nearly 190 miles of Moreno Valley roads within the next 18 months. Work for that project will begin very soon. We also recognized local leaders who have made a positive impact in Moreno Valley in the past year: ·         Community Partner of the Year – Salvation Army ·         Community Contributor of the Year – Amazon ·         Public Safety Legacy of Service Award – Riverside County Sheriff’s Department ·         Excellence in Education Award – Val Verde Unified School District ·         Community Business Member of the Year (Large) – Car Pros Kia Moreno Valley ·         Community Business Member of the Year – Continental East Development, Inc.  Lastly, I want to thank each and every one of you for your support throughout my tenure. You inspire me to work hard every day as your mayor to ensure Moreno Valley remains the best City in the Inland Empire.    You can watch the 2022 State of the City address on the City’s YouTube page and MV3.
