Photo Description:

Motorists traveling down Brookside Avenue last Thursday found themselves detoured onto Olive Avenue as construction workers worked to repave the eastbound lane last Thursday, July 25. Parking was restricted on Brookside Avenue during the time of construction. Residents living alongside Brookside, however, had access to their property. Signs were posted 72 hours in advance of the repaving, indicating parking restrictions. The contract for construction of the Brookside Avenue and Ash Street Pipeline Replacement Project was awarded by the City Council on May 7 to Miramontes Construction Co. Revenue from the City’s Water Division is funding the project, with no General Fund monies being used. The repavement project was designed and is being managed by the City of Redlands Municipal Utilities and Engineering Department.
