Valley View Dance Team Shines

The VVHS Dance Team participated in the Professional Dance Network Workshop and Competition recently, and came away with new skills and knowledge, and six awards, including three first-place finishes. They attended workshops presented by professional dancers and choreographers. Two Eagle dancers, Gabriella and Izabella Bridgmon, were recognized by the professionals and received scholarships to return next year. Valley View was one of only two high schools that participated in this competition with 105 entries. The other teams were from professional dance studios in Arizona, California and Nevada. The members of the VVHS Dance Team include Chekube Agwe, Devany Harden, Julie Monte, Gabriella Bridgmon, Madison Haskell, Sandra Rodriguez, Izabella Bridgmon, Shanice Jackson, Kyla Shallowhorn, Alissa Buffington, Viridiana Jauregui, Peri Thom, William Feldon, Madilyn Loop, Melanie Garcia Ibarra and Aliyah Martin. They are led by Dance Director Debbie McQuain.
