Ms. Quintana and part of her Pre-K class enjoyed the time they spent at the Moreno Valley Mall as they learned how to plant flowers to welcome Spring.

Wake up and smell the roses, or in this case, flowers in general! The Moreno Valley Mall recently hosted their first Plant A Flower event to kick-off Spring. The event was filled with children and parents planting their own colorful flowers to bring home. How did they like the event? Well, in the words of Darlene Quintana, “They loved it.” Quintana, a teacher at Seneca State Preschool made a field trip out of the event to give her students “a chance to get out into the community and to try different things.” The result was happy children with a flower in one hand and a complimentary Mrs. Fields cookie in the other. The Kids Club at the the Moreno Valley Mall has been active for over 10 years, creating free fun and educational events for children under 12 to attend. As Heather Bordner-Ayyob, the Marketing Manager at the Moreno Valley Mall, stated, “We really enjoy partnering with the community and bringing families to the center.” These events are usually the first Wednesday of every month and will be continuing through this upcoming year.
