On Sunday, Nov. 9 at 1 p.m., “Captain John” John Dutto and his puppet “Captain Cody” begin a series of story hours at March Field Air Museum. Subsequent story hours will be held on the second Sunday of every month.
John Dutto, a professional ventriloquist, will read aviation books with the audience with the help of his sidekick Captain Cody. Pages of the books will also be projected on screens so the young audience can read along.
Patricia Korzec, museum director, said, “This new program is designed to bring a unique learning experience to the museum’s weekend audience which is full of young children. The two ‘Captains’ are quite engaging and should open young eyes and ears to learning more about planes, space and other things in our skies above us.”
The 30-minute program is free with museum admission. Children may also visit Captain Cody after the event.
Museum admission is $10 for adults ages 12 and above and $5 for children 5 to 12. March Field Air Museum is open Tuesday through Sunday and is located at 22550 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside CA 92518.
