Past President of San Bernardino Chamber of Commerce Dies

Well respected and loved, Jack Hill, the first African American president of the San Bernardino Area Chamber of Commerce, died on this past Thursday from complications of a heart attack.  He was 92 years of age.  Hill was a longtime San Bernardino leader and a well-established caterer.  Jimmy Hill, Jack’s son, was quoted as saying, “All I can say for me and my siblings is that we were very fortunate to have him as a father; he taught us about having values and character plus he supported us in whatever life direction we felt would benefit us in the long term.”   Judi Penman , Chamber of Commerce president, said, “Jack believed in bringing people together and he was one of the most gentle and kindest men I’ve ever known.  He was a great leader and quite unselfish.”  Jimmy Hill said that the services for his father would probably be held the first week of December.
