The Moreno Valley Parks & Recreation Commission recognized Liberty II float volunteers and vendors at the regular Parks & Recreation Commission meeting on Aug. 13. Chairman James C.Baker II and Vice-Chair Bill Alvarez awarded certificates for those who directly worked on the float and the vendors who made it all possible. Special thanks was given to Big Tex Trailers, Yucaipa Towing and Supreme Truck Bodies for donating their time, space and equipment. The Parks Commission was proud to win the Sweepstakes Award for the second year in a row. The third time is the charm stated Baker, the float creator and designer. "We already have plans for next year's design. Can't tell you too much, but next year there WILL be animation on the float. The float was escorted to Morrison Park where some spectacular shots were taken with the fireworks as a backdrop.
