
Upcoming Affordable Care Act and Sickle Cell Disease Town Hall Meetings

Jane Reese-Wilkins, a certified life and health advisor, will be speaking about current health care, choosing the correct and an affordable healthcare plan, and answer questions about how the new Affordable Care Act effects people with Sickle Cell Disease.
One of three upcoming meetings will take place locally at Loma Linda University — PossAbilities Office, Professional Plaza, Building A, 25455 Barton Rd., Suite 109A, Loma Linda, from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
These events are open to both people with sickle cell disease (adult patients and parents of children with SCD) and open to the general public.
Other meeting times and locations include:
• Bernard Parks Community Room, 8475 S. Vermont Ave., Los Angeles, on Feb. 6, from 5 to 7:30 p.m.
• Antelope Valley Hospital, 1600 West Ave J, Conference Rm 101, Lancaster, on Feb. 11, from 6 to 8 p.m.
