Grand Terrace Cars and Coffee is happy to announce that they will be supporting this year’s Grand Terrace Community Day and Lions Club Mickey’s Annual Car Show on June 10, 2023.    Hosted by the Grand Terrace Lions Club, the club is currently signing up vehicles for the event based on those who registered last year and anyone interested in participating this year. The Car Show portion is limited to 58 vehicles. Registration forms are available through Lion’s Club Member Ed Girox and any questions can be directed to Ed Giroux, at bigcountry9649@gmail.com.     Cars and Coffee will also be a part of the Veterans Wall of Freedom event on November 11 where they have been invited to bring some of the cars to Pico Park in support of the event veterans within the community. After the event, the cars cruise over to Vista Blue Mountain Senior Center on Barton to help the staff in support of the veterans housed there. In December, Cars and Coffee will once again be part of the Light Up Grand Terrace event and are working on the details for that event, and have been asked to park their cars in support of the event and will be delivering Santa Claus to Light Up Grand Terrace. Currently, Cars and Coffee are working on the 4th annual Grand Terrace Cars and Coffee Santa Claus Toy Drive Cruise which is tentatively scheduled for December 8. This past year the club partnered with local businesses to collect toys including Woody’s Classic Grill, Grocery Outlet, and Stater Brothers volunteered four stores to collect toys. “In conversations with Kathy Williams Braxton with Sick N Tired Recovery Home and John Braxton with Community In Unity, our toy drive cruise and the toy collection sites collected enough toys to provide toys for over 150 families and their children making it a better Christmas,” said president of Grand Terrace Cars and Coffee, Johan Gallo.   “We appreciate the collection locations that include Grocery Outlet, Woody’s Classic Grill, Stater Brothers, which has now added 3 more locations outside of Grand Terrace, and this year we added Burt’s Jewelry store,” continued Gallo. Each location provided boxes full of toys and has even continued to add more collection locations and donors such as Sarah Canela, owner of Mazzulli’s Family Kitchen. “We couldn’t do this without the additional support of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department with Lieutenant Lane and his Deputies. San Bernardino County Fire Department, Assistant Fire Chief Serna, and Fire Captain Aguilar,” said Gallo.  “Not to mention the Grand Terrace Lions Club, Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts, and the businesses who support these events.” This year, Grand Terrace Cars and Coffee are adding something new! Residents can now vote on their favorite vehicle in the cruise. Thanks to the generosity of Woody’s Classic Grill, Mazzulli’s Family Kitchen, Loud Burger, and Odalbertos. The top three winners received gift cards and or certificates from all four businesses. “We keep growing the event because of the outpouring of support from our residents and business community and service clubs. Not to mention the support from our Mayor, City Council and City Staff, Sheriff, and Fire Departments,” Gallo said appreciatively. The club continues to find more ways to do more for the community as they work together with Mayor Bill Hussey, City Council, and the city staff of Grand Terrace. “We are working hard with the city to have the various events we do in Grand Terrace to reflect the way we did them decades ago.”   Grand Terrace Cars & Coffee meets every third Saturday of the month, from 8 am to 10 am in the professional building parking lot by Bank of America.
