On Nov. 23, Dwelling Place in San Bernardino hosted a free Thanksgiving dinner for the community. The party began at 3 p.m. in Dwelling Place’s parking lot where families were welcomed with songs sung by a small group of teens and adults. As the performers sang, the children had an opportunity to play in the inflatable jumpers while parents enjoyed the music. After singing, Pastors Ji and Ed asked for children under 12 years of age to join them in a room for games. One of the games included putting a bucket on the top of the head and trying to catch the paper balls thrown in the air. Outside, the parents were accompanied by Pastor Ed and his speech. Dwelling Place then had a raffle for women to win shoes. When the games and activities were finished, attendees were given a plate for Thanksgiving dinner containing turkey, mashed potatoes and vegetables.
