Doug Wilson and Darcy McNaboe, here are two public servants who actually have served the public for years outside of any elected positions. They were both appointed to and served on the planning commission, Darcy for about 5 years and Doug for more than 20 years. Both have been members of the Lions Club for years, and we all see how the Lions Club has continuously served Grand Terrace throughout the years. Their motto is “We Serve,” and serve they do. I want my local elected officials to be intently involved in our community BEFORE they run for office and during their time in office, so that I know that they truly know the people they intend to represent. I know that they will unselfishly serve the public because they already have by being members of one or more of the many volunteer groups in Grand Terrace. Who better to represent you than one amongst you who walks your walk and talks your talk? On top of that, Grand Terrace needs experienced people on the council who can hit the ground running. Doug has 40+ years in business and development and Darcy’s life is developing business. This says it all. Vote for who will best represent us, the people, and vote for who is the most qualified to represent us and steer the city to financial solvency for a better and brighter future for Grand Terrace and our children.
