Golden Avenue Food Pantry Gathers Donations for Families in Need

The Golden Avenue Food Pantry is giving food away every third Monday of the month. In December 2013, 52 families were given food, presents and clothes. The Center for Spiritual Living Inland Empire serves as a home for the food pantry, provides volunteers and gathers donations of food and funds. Reverend George E. Honn III accepted a donation from James Malcolm Smith, president of the local chapter of United Commercial Travelers. Honn told Smith, "It is through donations such as yours that our work may continue." The Golden Avenue Food Pantry is located at 2404 N. Golden Avenue San Bernardino. The next food distribution is Jan. 20, 2014 at 10 a.m. Those interested in making donations or would like more information are encouraged to call Honn III at 909-883-7171.
