The Bridges Learning Center, which brings together the district’s alternative-education programs at one shiny new location, can be seen as a “bridge” for students who learn better in different ways.
But the name actually comes from the Bridges family, on whose former farmland the new facility was built.
So it was a special event made extra special this week when Bridges was formally opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and several members of the Bridges family were in attendance, coming from as far away as Idaho! Here they are in front of their namesake new school.
Bridges Learning Center is the new home of Bayside Community Day School, Moreno Valley Community Learning Center, Moreno Valley Online Academy (MVOA) and Graduation Opportunity (GO).
It’s located at Cactus Ave. and Indian St.
