MORENO VALLEY >> Both California Baptist University's swimming and diving teams were recognized as a College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America Scholar All-America team, announced last Wednesday, June 15. The recognition comes as a result of each team's classroom performance in the past semester. To be selected as a CSCAA Scholar All-America Team, both team programs must have achieved a grade point average of 3.00 or higher over the Spring semester. The Lancer men finished with a team 3.14 GPA, while the women boasted a 3.37 GPA. This past year, both teams claimed Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championships. The women went on to take 13th at the NCAA Division II Championship and saw Christie Halverson win an individual title. On the men's side, the Lancers took 12th at the Division II Championship.
