The City of Moreno Valley is in the process of building a permanent radio communications tower just above the “M” on Box Springs Mountain in order to meet future technology needs as the City continues to expand. The permanent facility will replace the leased tower space the City has relied on since 1999, insulating the City from leasing costs which have steadily increased over the years. The project includes a new equipment building, an 80-foot high tower, a backup generator, and security fencing. The tower is anticipated to be completed later this month.
