Organizers and participants agree that the Annual Moreno Valley Elks Golf Tournament was a huge success with many teams participating.
The first place team included Greg Donahue from Moss Motors, Ken Sims, Don Ian and Dr. Paul Quaschnick. Participants enjoyed a full morning of golf, a super steak dinner at the Moreno Valley Elks Lodge and many prizes were awarded.
Local high school seniors benefited from the event, which raised $580 for local scholarships. Additionally, Moreno Valley Elks Annual Car and Motorcycle Show was able to raise $176 for Elks National Foundation which provides more money for state and national scholarships than any other organization except the Federal Government.
Last year, several students from the southern California area were awarded $10,000 or more per year to support their college dreams.
The Elks Annual Car and Motorcycle Show attracted Elk members from the Moreno Valley and other Elk Lodges, along with interested community members. The entries were amazing. Winners of the show received trophies at a dinner celebrating everyone who participated in this important event.
Raffles and giveaways helped with fundraising.
The Moreno Valley Elks Annual Car and Motorcycle Show also generated $1,580 for the Heart Association to honor their fallen Elk member, Mark Williams, a car-lover and huge supporter of the Elks.
