Redlands American Legion Post 650 Selects 2017 Boys State Delegates

Duncan Glover, Ian Finley, and Matthew Kristoffersen,  students from Redlands East Valley High School, represented the Philip Marmolejo American Legion Post 650 at the 2017 American Legion Boys State Conference.  The conference was held at Sacramento State University for a week-long event (June 17th - 23rd) that 997 young men participated in. The Boys State program is sponsored by the American Legion to promote citizenship, leadership, and an understanding of the structure of government. Each Delegate learns all facets of government from City to State level which they set up and operate.  The American Legion Website provides detailed information on all activities. The Delegates were recommended by the Junior Class Counselor for the interview process.  John Vindiola  from Post 650 and Bob Lavin, Boys State  Chairman from Post 155, conducted the interviews.
