On Sept. 18 during the hours of 7 p.m. and 2 a.m., officers and police explorers from San Bernardino Police Department conducted a Minor Decoy Operation throughout the city.
Minor decoy operations have minors enter a business and attempt to purchase alcohol. This operation targeted on sale licenses, specifically restaurants.
The operation’s goal is to educate the public and alcohol license holders of the dangers of selling alcohol to minors.
There were seven attempts to purchase alcohol and, out of those attempts, four resulted in alcohol being sold to a minor. Officers made four arrests.
This operation was done in partnership with the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control.
