Mothers, daughters, aunts, and a plethora of cousins gathered at Hannah’s restaurant on Highland Ave. at an invitation only customer appreciation. With Aunt Aggie sitting at the head of the table at her favorite restaurant and her granddaughters providing flowers and gifts made this one of the most special Mother’s Day ever. But, for me the day was even more special because my mom, Ann Conley, drove 4 1/2 hours to be with us on this special occasion. We shared an amazing weekend!!! Not only was this a family affair for our family, it’s an affair of giving for owner of Hannah‘s restaurant, Kay Salazar, her kids, grand kids, and most importantly the cook and husband, Nacho. They close the restaurant on Mother’s Day and invite their special customers to be pampered by them. “We don’t advertise this because it’s only for the people that support us all year long, this is our thank you to them. We love them. Everyone that comes into our restaurant helps each other, we’ve had weddings here. Customers even help with bringing in groceries and Joe picks up our CO2 tank.” When we spoke of Aunt Aggie, Salazar said “I love her” and as she looked around the room fondly she said “ I love them all” Kay has owned Hannah’s restaurant for the last 26 years, her and her husband Ignacio known as “Nacho” provides some of the most amazing food at a very reasonable price. Nacho used to be a chef for the Hungry Tiger restaurant. His style and presentation is so professional and the taste of the food is amazing. If you haven’t eaten at Hannah’s it is certainly a place you should discover. Located at 1355 E. Highland Ave., San Bernardino, CA Thank you Kay and family for a very special Mother’s Day-Family Reunion!
