The time has come again and November 3rd is rapidly approaching. Do you know who you will be voting for? This is the time for us to look into who we feel with do their best to lead our city of Grand Terrace and make the difficult choices that will ultimately lead to making our city a better place. 

Put a name to the faces and learn where your candidates stand and what their plans on for the future of our city. The City of Grand Terrace has 3 seats open for election and 6 candidates running. Each of the 3 seats is for a 4-year term. It’s time to meet your candidates (In alphabetical order by last name):

Jeff Allen – Incumbent

Jeff Allen was elected Planning Commissioner from 2014-2018. He was elected Council Member in 2018. Allen wants to maintain the city’s exceptional quality of life by supporting public safety, continuing thoughtful development to provide housing, business opportunities, and avoiding tax increases. 

Jeremy Cecil Briggs

Jeremy Briggs is a Planning Commissioner for the city, PTSA Vice President at Terrace Hills Middle School, and a youth sports coach. As City Councilmember, he wants to work to ensure their future is filled with opportunity. Briggs wants to support robust public safety, economic growth, COVID-19 recovery, and fiscal responsibility. 

William “Bill” Alan Hussey – Incumbent

William "Bill" Hussey is an experienced community organizer and a resident of Grand Terrace for 25 years. He has over 20 years of experience for the Department of Justice. He says his political endeavors are motivated by his sincere love for and commitment to this community.

Jeffrey McConnell 

Jeffrey McConnell is a Planning Commissioner for the city. He is also a long-time resident and active with involvement on what is going on in Grand Terrace. McConnell wants to provide more public safety without taxes. He also wants to make Grand Terrace more business-friendly to attract quality housing with businesses people want. 

Sylvia A. Robles - Incumbent

Sylvia Robles has been a resident of Grand Terrace for more than 38 years and has more than 25 years of local government experience. Robles was elected to the Grand Terrace City Council in November 2012.

Ken H. Stewart

Stewart is running for a local seat in the city of Grand Terrace to continue building community by maintaining a superb quality of life, strengthening economic development and public safety.
