Dear Moreno Valley Residents,
Last week, I had the pleasure of opening Santiago Park, Moreno Valley’s 33rd and newest park.
It’s not hyperbole to say that this park is among the finest in the region. It has a brand new playground, basketball courts, shaded picnic areas, a walking trail, acres of green space, and a unique exercise area that allows residents to perform up to 84 different exercises.
Once the City Council and I cut the ribbon, kids swarmed the playground, eager to experience Santiago Park for themselves. It was heartwarming to see these kids and their parents have so much fun.
Here in Moreno Valley, we make sure our residents have many parks, trails, and community spaces to enjoy. Our community thrives when Moreno Valley families can spend a day outside and experience the beautiful Southern California weather.
Our Parks and Community Services department has many exciting outdoor events for residents of all ages. Our Soaring Activity Guide is a one-stop guide to Moreno Valley. Our Hike to the Top and Beautify MoVal programs allow the community to experience and help maintain the beauty of our parks, trails, and open spaces.
Santiago Park is the latest recreational area to debut in Moreno Valley, but it’s not the last.
We are currently working on the long-awaited four-mile-long extension of the beautiful and multi-use Juan Bautista de Anza trail that will extend from the Moreno Valley Mall to Iris Avenue. Stay tuned for more updates on this fantastic project.
I also invite you to check out the brand new Santiago Park, located at 24731 Tiger Avenue. I think you’ll find it to be the perfect place to spend a leisurely day outdoors in Moreno Valley.
