Linda Alvarez Recognized for “Making a Difference”

COLTON>> On Tuesday August 8, Council Member Dr. G (Dr. Luis S Gonzalez) made an on-site visit to El Pollo Loco restaurant to present Linda Alvarez a recognition certificate for the “You make a Difference” program.

Located at 1090 So. Mt Vernon Ave, the popular lunch-time place for city employees became a gathering place for friends, family and El Pollo Loco management to celebrate the event.

“Linda has been an excellent employee” says Andrea Nazario, General Manager, and adds, “She smiles at every customer she meets.”  As a Guest Services Ambassador, “Linda greets every customer who walk in the door, makes sure their order is correct, and makes sure their order is complete,” Nazario explains. “She is helpful and hard working.”

Dr. G learned about Linda’s “work ethic and dedication” through city staff employees who often frequent the establishment during their lunch break. The talk after lunch, says Dr G, was that “El Pollo Loco on Mt. Vernon has a great lunch menu”, and that there is a woman who is “the very best worker.” Of course, Dr. G himself, had to meet Linda Alvarez in person, and the on-site presentation was planned.

With a big grin, Dr. G reported, “Not only did she greet me, she smiled enthusiastically, and asked how she could be of some help.” The customer atmosphere “was pleasant,” and “the visit was heartwarming,” concludes Dr. G.

Congratulations to Linda Alvarez, the staff, and the management at El Pollo Loco.
