Rep. Pete Aguilar announced that SAC Health System (SACHS) has received a $919,991 grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). The funding will allow SACHS to improve and expand access to health care for low-income individuals in the Inland Empire and expand their coverage throughout the region.

“Quality and affordable health care is a necessity, especially during a public health crisis. I’m proud to announce this funding, which will help more San Bernardino County residents access these critical services,” said Aguilar.

Dr. Jason Lohr, President and CEO of SAC Health System said, “SAC Health System is thankful to Congress Members Aguilar and Ruiz for their support of the American Rescue Plan - Health Center Construction and Capital Improvements grant award to SAC Health System. With this support, SAC Health System will be able to expand our services to provide high quality primary care and specialty care to those living in Blythe and the surrounding remote areas.  SAC Health System has been providing health care services to the low-income population in Congress Member Aguilar's District since 1995 and expansion to Congress Member Ruiz' District, we are thankful for this opportunity to introduce residents of the most eastern region of Riverside County to SAC Health System and look forward to improving the health of those we serve.”

Rep. Aguilar serves on the House Appropriations Committee, the committee responsible for funding federal programs and agencies like HRSA.
