UCHC to Host Educational Afternoon

Unicare Community Health Center – UCHC will be hosting our Inland Empire Winter Health and Resource Expo 2019 on Saturday, February 2nd from 10:00am to 3:00pm, at Colton Fleming Park (525 North La Cadena Drive, Colton, CA 92324).

In collaboration with community partners, sponsors and supporters, we are pleased to invite you and your family and friends to come join us on this annual kickoff event. All of the services provided are free and open to the public. We will be having many vendors and exhibitors in attendance to provide you with many available resources and support for your health and wellness needs.

Free services offered:

* Health screenings for seniors, adults and children: Dental, vision, blood pressure check, blood glucose, anemia, diabetes, BMI/Weight, and adult immunization.

* Other screenings tests are also available for your lung health, liver health, bone density, immunodeficiency, genetic disorders, physical therapy – assessment of injuries, balance issues and weight management, and more.

* Child Health and Disability Prevention Program (CHDP), Well-Child health assessment, immunization and other check-ups.

* Enrollment Assistance for Medi-Cal and other State health benefits.

* Senior Services, such as: help applying for Medicare, Medi-Medi program, Social Security Benefits and Caregiver Support, Retirement Benefits and others.

* Health Education Information and Service Referrals for: Oral Health, prenatal care, mental health, diabetes and nutrition, stroke, CPR/First Aid and Emergency Preparedness.

* Community resources and linkages, free medical transportation, family assistance support, preschool services, head starts, health and life insurance, pre-planning funeral services and family support.

Please come and join us for family fun and entertainment, arts and crafts contest, Zumba fitness demos, face paintings, lots of raffles prizes and giveaways for all attendees, and much more.

UCHC is a Federally Qualified Health Center, community-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to serve the unmet health care needs of low-income persons and their families. It aims to be a community health care organization that treats everyone with dignity, respect, and cultural sensitivity to help create an environment in which all can prosper.
