March Field Air Museum’s historic flightline will come alive with “Hot Lips Houlihan," “Father Mulcahey," “Radar O’ Reilly," “Klinger” and “Hawkeye” characters during its annual MASH Bash fundraiser on Saturday, Oct. 3. Guests will travel on a nostalgic journey back to the fictional 4077th Mobile Army Surgical Hospital made popular by the TV series MASH. This fun-filled, casual and entertaining evening includes entertainment, a catered dinner and a silent auction. Guests will also be treated to drinks at a re-creation of “Rosie’s Bar.” The evening will conclude with a costume contest to crown the best Hawkeye, Klinger, and Houlihan characters. This year will also feature a general prize for most interesting persona. Proceeds from the event will support ongoing programs at the museum. Over 60 gift baskets and items will be available for purchase the night of the event and include: a Superbowl Party on Plane, a private home in Cabo for a week, use of a condo in Oceanside, a City of Riverside Police Helicopter ride-along, a model of a SR-71 signed by over 20 crew members and a football signed by San Diego Chargers running back Melvin Gordon. The event begins at 6 p.m. and tickets are $50 per person ($45 prior to Sept. 26), and active military are $25. March Field Air Museum is located at 22550 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside, CA 92518. For more information, please contact Stephanie at 951-902-5123, stephanie@marchfield.org or visit the website at www.marchfield.org. Tickets may also be purchased by calling the museum at 951-902-5949 or online at brownpapertickets.com.

Photo Caption: Crime in San Bernardino has dropped by 30 percent or more throughout the city. One reason is that there are more officers on the streets. The Police Department’s goal is to have 350 sworn officers. Current full-time staffing is reported at 295 sworn officers and 156 professional staff.
