Saturday, August 10, the class of 1998 of Redlands High School gathered yet again at the Edwards Mansion located in the city of Redlands, part two of a three-day, 15-year celebration.
Classmates took a trip down Memory Lane at a display of their high school times, with framed pictures that showed school spirit, pep rallies, athletics teams and other good times.
Standing tall was a representation of the RHS mascot, the Terrier, with large “RHS” letters painted in royal blue.
Barbie Ray, alumna and one of four RHS Class of ’98 reunion coordinators, explained, “As nostalgic as it seems, the last time I remember being here together with my classmates was during homecoming. We decided to come back to the Edwards Mansion in hopes that our fellow alumni would enjoy it while reminiscing on times and also enjoy coming back to their hometown to share this event with each other.”
Alumnus of Class of ’98 and event coordinator Mike Ahuja stated, “I am extremely excited to spend this time with my fellow classmates once again.” Drew Jeffries, also an alumnus, a popular guy on campus with his identical twin brother Desmond, said, “I have so much energy and can hardly wait for the fun to begin!”
As era-appropriate music boomed through speakers, guests enjoyed dinner. The Redlands High School Class of ’98 danced the night away ending with a speech from David Silas Tellyer, and the singing in unison of their beloved alma mater, creating another memory of what is to be a Redlands High School Class of 1998 alum.
