Open auditions for LifeHouse Theater’s production of Harper Lee’s “To Kill A Mockingbird,” dramatized by Christopher Sergel and directed by LifeHouse veteran Brady Huffman, will be Thursday, Dec. 18 from 6 to 9 p.m. at LifeHouse Theater located at 1135 N. Church Street, Redlands. Auditions will be held on a first come, first serve basis. Those auditioning should be at least 10 years of age and bring a recent photo to leave with the audition panel. All are welcome and roles are open for men and women. Men are especially encouraged to audition. Auditioners should come prepared to give a dramatic monologue of no more than 1 minute in length. Monologues from “To Kill A Mockingbird” are preferred but not required. “To Kill A Mockingbird” opens Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. and will continue on weekends through March 22, 2015. Performances are Fridays at 7:30 p.m., Saturdays at 2:15 p.m. (except Opening Night) and 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2:15 p.m. In addition to the weekend performances, there will be a special Thursday performance on March 19 at 7:30 p.m. Harper Lee’s novel is brought to the stage as LifeHouse presents her story as this season’s annual selection of a dramatic classic. The explosive events surrounding a young girl growing up in a quiet southern town, and how they are faced by her attorney father, offer a captivating and timely theater experience.
