Mayor's Weekly Message 43

The City of Moreno Valley is working hard to make your drive to work and school smoother than ever before.

We are nearing completion on a wide-ranging street repair project to overhaul 105 residential streets and six major streets across the City.

We also added almost eight miles of new bike lanes, providing our residents and visitors with new – and safer ways to bike through our City.

Over the next year, we are investing an impressive $11.2 million to repair our roads.

Crews recently completed major repairs to six arterial streets. The project included rehabilitating:

• Westbound Cactus Avenue, from Graham Street to Heacock Street

• Alessandro Boulevard, from Elsworth Street to Frederick Street

• Kitching Street, from Iris Avenue to Lurin Avenue

• Eucalyptus Avenue, from Kitching Street to Lasselle Street

• John F. Kennedy Drive, from Heacock Street to Indian Street

• Iris Avenue, from Perris Boulevard to Kitching Street

And we’re not done. Crews are slurry sealing the remainder of the selected residential streets. Work is expected to be wrapped up over the next few months.

We appreciate your patience while we have been making progress on repairing our roads.
